Out
 Die ersten neun Löcher eines 18-Löcher-Kurses werden als die 'out nine' bezeichnet, weil man da ja noch hinausspielt, während man auf den zweiten Neun von den 'in nine' spricht - man befindet sich wieder auf dem Heimweg. Als 'out' bezeichnet man auch einen Ball, der die Begrenzung der Spielbahn verlassen hat.
